ABOUT ME
Katie Poliero is a Philadelphia–based actor who loves bold characters, ensemble-driven theatre, and a good comedic bit. They recently graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Theatre Arts in May 2025. Some past credits at Gettysburg include The Prom (dir. Chris Kauffman), Animal Farm (dir. Trazanna Beverly), and Steel Magnolias (dir. Catherine Blaine). They also appeared in opera productions such as Viardot’s Cendrillon under the direction of Susan Hochmiller.

In addition to performing, Katie enjoys working across multiple areas of theatre-making. They have directed productions such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream and selections from Mnemonic, served as Music Director for Something Rotten! and Assistant Music Director for Godspell, and designed costumes and props for several productions.

Katie has trained with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company Apprentice Program, studying Shakespeare performance and Linklater voice, and has also studied theatre in Bath, England with Advanced Studies in England. They have received recognition in several music competitions, including as a semifinalist in the Classical Singer Vocal Competition in 2024. When they’re not in rehearsal or performance, Katie enjoys playing dnd, attending improv shows unironically, and looking for excuses to wear their gown collection in public.
